Celebration filled to the brim as Patrick Weds Lois, All Bride's maids physically challenged, couple Urged not to be ignorant of the Devices of Satan

It was simply an exciting moment as brides maids are all physically challenged. No doubt it's first of its kind in the history of Africa.

A physically challenged candidate for the House of representatives, AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, in the 2019 elections under the balcony of Accord Party, in Nigeria, Ms. Lois Auta got wedded to Mr. Innocent Patrick Udonkant in a grand style on Sunday at the National Christian Centre, Abuja-Nigeria.

In an interview with pressmen immediately after the wedding solemnisation, the bride, Lois, disclosed that she had met Mr. Patrick in July, 2018, as her campaign manager but events unfolded and they both fell in love beyond the physical challenges.

"He proposed during the campaign activities and after due scrutiny i accepted.

“ It would however perplex you to know that I gave up on marriage long ago but God said he wasn't done with me yet and becoming Mr. Patrick’s wife is one of my dreams because he saw some qualities and ability in me beyond disabilities.

Lois, the Founder of CedarSeed Foundation further disclosed that she sees her disability as both a blessing and bridge rather than a barricade which can never limit her dreams in life, promising to be a loving wife and mother in her immediate home and the entire nation.

Similarly, the groom, Mr. Patrick, expressed joy over the success of their union.

He said that, he had noticed the unique qualities of his bride from their first time they met but however stated that there were one or two challenges along the tunnel to their union which constituted a divided attention that came as barriers during their courtship.

In his words, "i noticed in her, simplicity, innocence, meekness and humility which did not make me have a second thought about proposing to her.

“However, there were series of challenges from sundry views of people regarding our relationship but when they noticed my resolution, they were left with an alternative of giving up on me.

Earlier, the officiating minister of the chapel, Reverend Mike Agbon, admornished the couple not to be ignorant of the Devices of the Devil, stating further that the Satan is a trickish been.

The Reverend who was also the officiating minister made this known at the wedding solemnisation, nothing that there is need to get closer to God like never before. "The best time to get closer to God is when things seem going on smoothly", he said.

Reverend Agbon in his sermon encouraged the physically challenged category of people not to give up on themselves disclosing that it is written in the holy Bible that 'Ask and it shall be given, knock and the door shall be open, seek and you shall find.' ' I know the thoughts I have of you, thoughts of good and not of evil to give you an expected end.'

“Today, we are putting together a couple, with one very special and unique quality because the bride is physically challenged and this is an encouragement to others in this category.

“I want to be graciously an encourager by telling everyone that the groom has shown that challenges are not limitations because Lois is very endowed and Patrick has been able to see beyond her physical challenges,” he said.

He further urged men and women to see beyond the physical looks of people, adding that most physically challenged individuals are naturally blessed with special capabilities.
