1. NCDC confirms 4 new cases of COVID-19 in Lagos, Abuja; Nigeria’s total figure rises to 139
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Tuesday night announced four more cases of coronavirus in Lagos and Abuja. The NCDC said on its Twitter handle that the fresh discoveries brought the total number of people with coronavirus infection in Nigeria to 139.

2. NCDC to increase COVID-19 test capacity to 1,500 per day
The Director-General of the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said the centre would increase its COVID-19 test capacity to 1500 per day. Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu said this on Tuesday.

3. I didn’t contract COVID-19 at PDP rally –Makinde
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, Tuesday dismissed reports that he contracted coronavirus at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) unification rally held March 18 in Ibadan. The Chief Press Secretary to Governor, Taiwo Adisa, who disclosed this in a statement in Ibadan, said there was no known incident of COVID-19 as at the time the rally was held.

10. Inmates of Kaduna Custodial Centre on rampage over suspected COVID-19 case
Inmates of Medium Custodial Centre in Kaduna went on the rampage on Tuesday over a rumoured presence of a suspected coronavirus case at the facility. The inmates demanded they be released from the facility after news filtered in that an awaiting trial inmate had infected two other persons with the disease.
